PCWorld – Best shortcut ever? The one I use all day, every day? I’ll give you a hint: It’s for Web browsers.
I won’t keep you in suspense. It’s Ctrl-Enter, and here’s how you use it: type something like, oh, pcworld in your browser’s address bar, then hit Ctrl-Enter. Presto! The browser fills in the “http://”, the “www,” and the “.com” (all in the right places, too!). Even better, it loads the URL as well. The only faster way to a Web site is clicking a link–provided that link is visible in your toolbar.
This works in Firefox as well as Internet Explorer. (Probably Opera, too–anyone know for sure?)
