Mac Rumors – Apple has posted a support document suggesting that the continuing MobileMe email outage affecting 1% of MobileMe users is due to a “serious” issue with one of their mail servers. Affected users have been unable to send or receive email since the tumultuous MobileMe transition began over 5 days ago.

Microsoft Research Thinks Telescopic Pixels will Rival LCDs
Engadget – The boys and girls at Microsoft Research are getting set to publish a report detailing a competing (and in their perspective, superior) technology to replace the LCD monitors we’ve grown to know and love heart with reservations. By using pixels that boast “a pair of mirrors to block or transmit light,” displays could theoretically be created which are “faster, brighter, and more power efficient than liquid crystal displays.” Continue reading

AppleInsider – Investment bank Piper Jaffray said Tuesday it believes Apple is readying new iPod and notebook products that will apply downward pressure to profit margins because they’ll be priced more affordably, such as 13-inch MacBook that will fetch less than $1000.
