I am using the PC Doctor Service Center 9 v3. Working on a DEll Laptop Inspiron 1440. When diagnostics gets to detecting hardware, it stays there forever. What am I doing wrong?

Hi cartworld,

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues running Service Center on this system. In order to better determine what the problem could be, I need to ask a few questions.

  • Which environment are you testing with (DOS, Windows, Bootable Diagnostics?
  • Are you running the software directly from the USB key, are you installing it first (only available in Windows), or are you using the CD?
  • How long have you let it sit, and does it ever come up with any errors?
  • Is the system responsive during this time?
  • What is the Service Tag for this system (I will check if we have any similar hardware for testing)?
Any information you can provide will be of use in determining the cause, and possibly a resolution.
