The short answer is there are a few factors which can extend the test time of the Modulo X test, some software, some hardware. However, the length of time the test takes to run is not indicative of a hardware issue. You can also try updating drivers as I know that several of the nVidia drivers which were offered just before and after the release of Windows 8 could cause issues when we ran the Modulo X test.
With all that said, I do know that improving the efficiency of this test is something on our wish list, however at this time, I don't have a time frame for when that might happen.
