Does anyone know what an error message "Com 1 Registers & Interupts" failed mean. I am using service center 7.5. This is the first time I have run accross this message. I have a feeling it means that I have a bad motherboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brad

Blecher,

It could mean the Com port is misconfigured in BIOS or non existant.  In a number of newer systems I have seen lately there is no external serial port connection available on the motherboard.  The chipset however still has remnants of the COM port there but is non functional.

If there is a valid serial port on the system, ensure the port is configured correctly, install the loopback connector and retest.
