Hi! I got this threat alert form Comodo virus check:
C:\Program files\PC-Doctor for Windows\TSDiag2.exe
TrojWare.Win32.Banker.ati@121133791

Is the alert for real or maybe just a false alarm?

paisva,

I believe it is a false alarm, however it is not made by PC-Doctor.

TSDiag2.exe is a touch screen diagnostic program provided by the touch screen manufacturer of HP systems.  It is included in the HP builds for testing the Touch Screens.

Any exe file can be infected by a worm or virus so I would get a "second opinion" maybe by Malwarebytes or other free scanning tool just to be sure.  I'm pretty sure though that it is a false positive.

Thank you for the info - I will just remove the file, because I don't have a touch screen anyway.

paisva,

You may want to just rename it to TSDiag2.exe.org and make sure PC-Doctor runs as it should.  There should not be a problem removing the file but you never know.  Better to be safe than sorry.
