My Lenovo laptop is running very slow. I have used Defrag, Spybot software etc. No big change. I perhaps have a number of movies, which have been deleted, but I am thinking that maybe they have not been deleted and that's what causing the slowness. Is there any software or ideas how to clean things up, to increase speed - i.e. it is even slow to open files and folders on my desktop.
Thx

Sounds like you may have Malware.  General slowness is usually caused by the system running other processes in the background.  A Virus or Malware are the likely suspects.

Free Stuff
Malwarebytes
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
AVG
http://free.avg.com/

If you already have a functional, up to date anti virus program use it to scan for Virus' no need to get AVG just download malwarebytes and check for malware.

What model is your Lenovo laptop? If it is a ThinkPad, PC-Doctor diagnostics (Lenovo System Toolbox & bootable diagnostic CD) are available as free downloads for your unit directly through Lenovo's support site. If you have eliminated malware as a possible culprit, a full system diagnostic will give you peace of mind that the problem is not hardware related.
