Shutting down and restarting symptom

I have several PCs with shutting down and restarting problems.  Where would be a good point to start looking for the cause/causes?  Using SC7... knowing that I can't test the PSU due to tester not having the right connector.  Please advise on what SC7 test should I run first.  Thanks

I would run all the DOS tests in an infinate loop.  This will either bring to light a hardware issue or point to a OS problem.
