Hi, I have just recieved Service Center 7. I have a Dell Dimension 4400 and I suspect the motherboard is broken. How do I test this. It doesn't start up anymore (at least there is no display). I tested the powersuply which is good. I don't know how to test the graphic card as well without display on the screen?

Please let me know how to start this.

Kind regards,

Rob,

In a non responsive system the only tests that can be done are the power supply and the POST card test.  The POST card test will give you a clue as to where the system is hanging in the POST process by displaying the last POST code the system generated.

pclaptech,

Use the POST card to see where the system is hanging during POST.

I gave you the instructions in a previous POST http://www.pcdoctor-community.com/forum/index.php?topic=399.0.

Alternatively you could put another Video card in and see if you get a response on the screen.
