Security Copies of PC-doctor CD-ROM's, Floppy and USB

Hi PC-Doctor Experts

I would like to make security copies of PC-doctor's CD-ROM's, Floppy and USB. I want to only use copies of the software and then store the originals somewhere safe. This is because last time we had PC-doctor, the software CD-ROM was lost, and I dont want that to happen again.

Can I make copies of the CD-ROM's, Floppy and USB. If yes, then please explain how to do it. I am not familiar with how to create backup copies of software.

You may make copies of the CD or floppies they are not protected in any way; any decent CD authoring software will do a fine job of making a backup. However, the USB key can not be duplicated, you can copy the files and image off of it but it is the locking device and that part can not be duplicated.

Customers often make their own custom CDs with custom overlays, scripts and SCSI drivers included in them.  You must have the USB key in the machine for PC-Doctor to run and if it is removed the program will quit with a license error.  If it were not done this way people would be running entire factories off of one copy of Service Center.

If your MUD (USB Key) gets broken or stops working we will send you a new one for the cost of shipping.  Don’t loose it though as we require the defective one back.

Is there a way to buy extra usb keys and if so how much, so I can test more than one pc at a time Thanks Qbert.

The USB Keys or MUDs as we call them are in effect the license for Service Center.  The CD can be copied and or modified for special purposes freely but will not work without the MUD.

The short answer is buy another copy of Service Center, though I’m pretty sure that’s not what you want.

This would be a question for sales.  Please give them a call at 1-866-289-7237.  They should be able to work something out for a MUD only purchase.
