Hello Everyone,
I'm experiencing a recurring issue with my desktop PC, and I could really use some guidance from this knowledgeable community. Over the past month, my computer has started freezing intermittently. There’s no pattern to it — it sometimes happens during gaming, while browsing, or even when the system is idle. When the freeze occurs, the system becomes completely unresponsive, and I’m forced to do a hard reset.
Here’s an overview of my setup:
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B550
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB, 3200MHz)
Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD (Windows installed) and 1TB HDD
PSU: EVGA 650W Gold
OS: Windows 11 Pro (fully updated)
I’ve tried a few troubleshooting steps:
Updated all drivers and firmware, including the BIOS.
Ran a memory diagnostic (Windows Memory Diagnostic) — no errors found.
Checked temperatures using HWMonitor — everything seems within normal ranges.
Ran CHKDSK and SFC scans — no issues detected.
Despite these efforts, the problem persists. Could this be related to my power supply or an issue with my SSD? Would a deeper stress test or a particular diagnostic tool be helpful in narrowing it down?
I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have. Additionally, if there are any specific logs or reports I should check or post here for analysis, let me know, and I’ll share them.
Thanks in advance for your help!
