When running the test on my hard drive I am receiving message that "hard drive surface scan internal error - could not obtain hard drive size parameters".  Does anyone know what this means?
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

This sounds like an incompatibility with the hard drive and PC-Doctor.  It sounds like you may be running an old build with newer hardware. Please provide the following information.

1.) What make and model computer is this?

2.) Is this the original hard drive that came with the system?

3.) Do you receive any errors on any of the other hard drive tests?

Fred,
I am running a GAteway, model ATXAEGLX2700SE - I purchased it in either 2001 or 2002 and it has the original hard drive.  The pc doc program came as one of the gateway utilities I believe.  It is version 3.01.  As it runs through the hard drive test I see that it passes some tests but then comes up with the message and says it cannot test.  My computer is running verrrrrry slow.
Thanks for any advice you might have,
Chris
