This may seem like an extremely asinine question, but I am a little stumped.
I have a PC I am working on (Windows XP) that the owner says BSODs on start-up. Since working on it, I have not been able to get it to BSOD at all. Another tech wrote in the notes that the PC passes all of the tests, but I do not know which tests he ran. Today, I noticed that the system information does not display a hard drive size. When I tried to run both the quick and extended hard drive tests, the screen with the completion percentage will pop up and quickly close itself. I have tried rebooting the system and attemtping to run the tests again, but nothing is working.
While I realize that the original BSOD could possibly be causing the PC Doctor error, but I am not sure how to provoke the BSOD to identify the code, or how to run the HDD tests.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am not really sure where to go from here. Thank you!
