using pcd7.5 pcd says that the cores on my processor are
Core : 0
Temperature 7.00 C
Core : 1
Temperature 6.00 C
My bios states that cpu is 36 C
There is no way that pcd is correct that would put my cpu temp @ 40 - 45 degrees
and if you combine the temps of core 0 and core 1 13 C = 56 degrees
The other tempature readings are correct as I have tested them with other utilities
Informative Message
Peak GPU Temperature: 50 Celsius. that sounds about right.
Hard drive temp is
Temperature 29 C that sounds about right.

rick0556,

Reading Core temps directly from the CPU is not as straightforward as one might think.  PC-Doctor is provided with a value from the CPU then a CPU specific multiplier keept in tables is applied to that value, we obviously got it wrong on this one or it is not in the table at all and you are seeing the base number.

What type of CPU is this?
Is it a production processor or engineering sample?
What Motherboar is it installed it?  (or OEM system make and model)

We should be able to adress this and provide a download to report the proper temp.

rick0556,

I don't think we are going to be able to do anything on this one. The 5500+ is on the list and supposed to be supported with the published offsets and it works, on some 5500+'s.  Please read the following from the AMD forrums about getting temperatures from the Thermal Diodes on the Brisbane CPU's
