Every time I start up I get this error message.  Symantec cannot get rid of it, nor can it be quarantined.  The file is in my music library.  I can't delete it.  Does anyone know how to remove it?

When I shutdown I get a message that says there is a disc in the "D" drive which needs to be removed.  There is no disc in the drive.

rjlevens,

You will have to start up in safe mode to fix this (F8 at boot up).  I would also download and run a good malware program, a free one can be had at:  http://www.malwarebytes.com.

I don't know which version of Symantec you are using but if you have the option of creating an offline disk, do so.  This is a bootable CD that will scan your drive before the OS loads.

This forum is for PC-Doctor hardware diagnostics, not general computer help.  PC-Doctor is the industry leader in hardware diagnostics; we do no do scan for or remove viruses.  Good luck with your bug hunt.
