I have a IBM xSeries 236 (8841) which comes with a PC Doctor 2.0 built-in to the system.  However, when I attempt to run the following test; SCSI Backplane LED Test, it displays the following error (Backplane not found).  In addition, the following test; Fixed Disk, will not execute.

I'm trying to comprehend why PC Doctor doesn't recognize the Hardware.

The Backplane is connected to channel B on the system board and a ServeRAID SCSI Controllers is also installed.  All the hardware has been verified for functionality and all hardware test good.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

d00705334,

It sounds as if you may have upgraded the BIOS or BMC code but not the PCDR that is in the ROM chip.

Please go to the IBM site and download the latest PCDR available for your system.  PCDR is flashed in the ibm servers much like a new BIOS.  Files and complete instructions can be found on the IBM site.
