Hi Mr C,
There are a few benefits for Bootable Diagnostics:
- Provides a UEFI compatible test environment
- Is capable of additional hardware tests (e.g. Networking, Audio, USB), and also includes:
- Better driver support for various controllers types
- Includes additional HDD and SSD testing capabilities
- More diverse optical tests
- Built in automated testing capabilities
- Includes the new sessions feature for simplified organization of system information and diagnostic test results
Of course PC-Doctor DOS is still a valuable diagnostics tool, and my personal recommendation is to do some testing in both environments just to get a feel for each. Ultimately how you use Service Center is up to you, but one thing you should keep in mind is that DOS is considered a legacy product designed to run on older systems. As more systems stop using traditional BIOS and move to UEFI, the capability of booting into a DOS environment will cease to be an option.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, or run into any problems.
Thanks,
Kris Templin
