I've seen various posts on this but can't get it to work. I added pcdrcui.exe to Windows Firewall, disabled Windows firewall, uninstalled McAffee, added pcdrcui.exe to Windows Defender and disabled Windows defender. I have no trouble browsing the internet and downloading files from the Dell site.

I am sorry that you are having issues with the My Dell software, if you don't mind I would like to ask you a few questions about the issue to better understand what is happening.
  * Where do you see the error "Internet Connectivity is Required"?
  * Does the error appear as a pop-up or within the program?
  * Do you know which version of My Dell you are running?
  * When did this error start appearing?
    - Did you make any changes to hardware or software prior to the error appearing?
  * Can you provide a screenshot?

Any details you can provide will help me to better understand the issue, and find a solution. In addition, I would recommend that you check for an update to the software by clicking on the link below:

Please let me know if you run into any other issues.

Thanks for your help,
Kris

I get this when I scan for updated drivers in My Dell. It is a new laptop. I am having lots of issues with it, so I wanted to make sure all the drivers are up to date before returning it.

The problems are that it is extremely slow - slower than the 3 year old i5 laptop it is replacing. Sometimes when I type my password to log into Windows 8, it takes the 1st few keystrokes and then pauses for a few seconds. Every now and then the speaker starts to hiss, even when I have the sound muted. I've seen people complain about this - apparently that is a problem with the motherboard.

We are currently looking into the issue you are reporting that occurs when attempting to update the drivers within our program. If you could please provide additional information such as:
  * Do you know which version of My Dell you are running?
(This can be found by clicking the gear icon in the top right and looking under About)
  * When did this error start appearing?
    - Did you make any changes to hardware or software prior to the error appearing?
  * Can you provide a screenshot?

But for the time being, I would recommend that you update your drivers the old fashioned way:
  * Go to: http://www.dell.com/support/
  * Type in the Service Tag for your system and click Submit
(If your not certain what it is, it can be found in the My Dell software)
  * Click on the Drivers and Downloads tab to find a list of all the relevant drivers

I am sorry that you are having problems with your system and our software, but if you have any other questions or issues please let me know.

Thanks,
Kris
