Hello, I have "my dell" software crashing each time its planned time to run comes. I found the guilty program is really pcdoctor.
Here is the event report:

Application: pcdrcui.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException
Stack:
   at wpfview.Program.StartController_HandelAsapiAuthenticationErrors(System.String[])
   at wpfview.Program.Main(System.String[])

Can you direct me in finding how to solve the problem?

Best regards,
Mauro

Hi mmauro,

I am sorry to hear about the problem you are having with My Dell.  In order to better assist you, I need to know exactly what is happening to cause the error to occur.

Was the program manually launched prior to the error?
Did you make any changes or updates immediately prior to the issue?
Have you had any problems like this in the past?
Any additional details regarding the circumstances of the error would be helpful.

If you are willing to assist me, I will be sending you a personal message with instructions on obtaining debug logs to assist in our efforts to debug the problem.

Thanks,
Kris

Hi Kris,
I try to reply to each of your questions

1) The program is launched by this command ["C:\Program Files\My Dell\pcdlauncher.exe" -lloc dsc] that I guess periodically check my system. But I can reproduce the same error lauching pcdrcui.exe manually from its directory.

2) It is likely that I did make some change but not immediatelly before the issue. I think the planned execution put a time gap between the change and the issue so it is not easy for me to relate the two events.

3) First time I see this problem in all life of my Studio XPS 435. I continuosly keep it up to date but never happened before.

4) unfortunatelly I have no particular circumstance to tell you about. I boot the PC,windows 7 64 bit Ultimate N starts. After the usual few minutes everything settle down. When the launcher kicks because it thinks it is time to run...I get the error. That's all.

I got the personal message and I will follow your instructions...let's see if we can nail this little bastard.

Regards,

 Mauro
