Hi
There is a software called LogMeIn Rescue which gives possibility to connect remotely to the PC.
Is there any way to make a test with pc doctor on remote computers? I am helping people from far distances using this method.
Cheers

While in theory this is possible, there would be a few requirements that would make it difficult. This part of the answer refers to our Service Center product.

1: You would have to have the software already installed on the PC you wish to test. (or some way to remotely install it)

2: The Multipurpose USB Device would have to be connected to the test system. I know that some remote services allow you to share devices, but I am unsure if this would work with the USB Device.

On the other side if you were to utilize our PC-Doctor Toolbox for Windows product you could have the customer install the software and simply monitor the results. However, this would require purchasing a license for each computer you wanted to test.

Thanks, for informations. I will check that first option. The installation of the software is not the problem. The problem is with the usb dongle but i will look for that "device sharing"

Let me know if it works, I would be intrigued to learn how it works in practice.

Intrigued by this post as I do a fair amount of remote support work myself I thought I'd investigate further.

A quick search found the following software - Daemon Tools USB.

After installing Daemon Tools USB on my host computer I plugged in the PC Doctor USB Test Device and shared ut via the Daemon Tools software. I then made a remote connection to a test PC via Teamviewer.

I installed Daemon Tools USB on the test computer and added my Host PCs details via the Remote Devices tab. I copied the PC Doctor setup files to the remote computer and ran the setup choosing the run from CD option.

PC Doctor opened and went through the Hardware Detection stage with no problems. Then I ran the System Tests from he main menu and they completed without a hitch.

Looks like I can now add PC Doctor Hardware testing to my remote support services.

Thanks for the info, let me know if you run into any issues using that method.

Also just for everyone's information:
While it has now been proven to be possible to perform remote testing using Service Center, PC-Doctor does not officially support this method as it is not a part of our product.

I felt that this information could be useful if any of our customers would like the ability to offer remote testing.

We have recently released a new software called PC-Doctor Toolbox for Windows. While this software does not have remote capabilities built in, it would provide a simpler method to run diagnostics over a remote connection (e.g. LogMeIn Rescue, RealVNC, etc).
