Warning on HD test

Hello, Im familiar with the ramdom and the linear verify errors. Now, Im checking a laptop sony vaio with pcd 7.5 and Im getting the following errors:
PD: Note that im getting and a warning at the beginning. Does it have anything to do with the following results?

No, it is not related, the error you see is about the XMS driver, himem.sys.  It cant load on this machine so the diags.pde can't be loaded as it is dependant on Himem.  The diags.pde is to test Intel network cards only.

You can try placing the system in SATA mode (not AHCI) and retest.  You will have to put it back in AHCI mode or the system will not boot.

If the errors persist then it is most likely indicating the impending doom of the hard drive, get the data you can off of it and replace it as soon as possible.

How could I set the system in SATA mode?  The BIOS wont give me many options. I just have and advance tab that only says Intel virtualization Technology (Disabled). Everything else is just main, security, boot and exit.

I guess you can't on that system.  I have seen issues on laptops where the AHCI ports work in non standard ways causing errors.  PC-Doctor DOS reads and writes to the AHCI and SATA ports directly adhering strictly to the spec.  If a laptop manufacturer does something "fancy" moving outside the spec the DOS version will report problems.

I would test in Windows and compare the results.

Ok I did run the same test in windows PE  and it passed all tests, so then we know now that the problem is not the hard drive, thanks for the advise.
But im still getting the blue screen error after windows loads. Could ve been a virus?
Also where could I get more information about AHCI on these newer systems?

It is most likely a driver issue causing a blue screen, most often a video driver.  Fire it up in safe mode F8 right after Post.  This will load a minimal set of drivers and usually allow you to sort the issue out.  The blue screen error message itself will also give you an indication as to where the problem is.  Type part of the message into Google, I'll bet there will be a bunch of info on it as well as what others have done to solve the issue.
