The Biohd-4 error is a different animal than what this post was originally talking about. Biohd-4 is usually seen from an HP system while running from the recovery partition.
CHKDSK /F won't fix anything, just remaps the bad sectors to a new place. This may allow the system to boot as long as the data that lives on the bad location is not too critical. It's worth a shot.
At any rate back up your data as soon as possible and look at replacing the drive if there are further errors.
