Sorry for the delay, I had to ask around since we don't receive requests like this often. After looking through our policies there is nothing in writing that would restrict you from being able to upgrade.
After speaking with my team it does sound like this is something we could take care of for you. I'm going to need to put some things together in order to deliver it, so I appreciate your patience in the mean time.
As a side note, it would be best that you give our Sales department a call to speak on benefits and changes from SC7.9 to our current version, SC 10.5. We also will be releasing version 11 in the near future. The only reason I mention this is due to the drastic changes that have occurred since version 7.9. Not only will you be lacking a lot of important features for today's technology using version 8, but also there are many many pieces of hardware in today's world that SC8 simply will not be able to support.
