Title: Always disabling tests
Post by: TheLantern on February 23, 2011, 04:47:58 pm
I run using PC Doctor 7.5 and I usually use DOS service center for the tests and run everything with F5. However, i always disable the HDD Write test, CD/DVD writing tests first due to, well not wanting to erase the drive, and spend time switching discs.

Is there a way to in the files or scripts or something to have them never run?  I know about scripting in Windows, but curious about DOS for the time being.

Thanks.

TheLantern,

Yes there is you can create a custom PDO (PC-Doctor Overlay).  This overlay can be customized to test whatever you wish.  It can then be saved to the USB Key or a custom CD can be made.

You can also achieve this by modifying the PCDR.ini file.

Instructions are in the Advanced users guide.
