Title: Blu Ray Drive Optical Tests?

Hi.

I have a Blu-Ray drive that is not longer playing my blu-ray movies. I have Service Center 7 and there seems to be a variety of blu-ray tests available I can choose from. Here's what I see:

+ Blu-Ray Linear Seek Test
+ Blu-Ray Random Seek Test
+ Blu-Ray Funnel Seek Test
+ Blu-Ray Linear Read Compare Test
+ BD-RE Read Write Test

My question is which tests should I run, and what are the three different seek tests actually doing? Will it hurt my blu-ray movie disc?

the_man,

Run them all except the Write test. The write test will only work with a blank writable media anyway.

If these tests pass, chances are you have a software or codec issue.
