Title: RTC Rollover Test Internal Error
Post by: jblanke on January 05, 2011, 07:10:39 am
I am testing a compaq devo300v.  When running System test I receive this error: System Board - RTC Rollover Test - Internal Error.

Could you please explain what this error means, whether it is critical, and if it can be repaired, what component needs to be replaced.

Thank you.

jblanke,

It depends what part of the RTC rollover test failed.  Run the test press F3 to view the logs and paste them into a reply post.

In general the RTC (Real Time Clock) rollover tests are used to test the century rollover bit.  This is not a big deal in normal day to day opperations, at least not untill 2100, at which time we won't care.  ;)
