Title: PC Doctor 10 Service Center bootable diagnostics failure
Post by: jmp242 on March 18, 2016, 09:38:46 am
I had a PC running Windows 7 that was bluescreening several times a day. I ran PC Doctor, system test, burn in test, and individual memory and hard drive tests. Everything passed at least 2 times. I then, because the bluescreening continued after various driver updates etc ran Memtest86 and it found memory errors in one DIMM in less than 2 minutes...

It would seem like at least the PC Doctor Memory test should have also found this.

Hello jmp242,

How were you running the memory tests (i.e. Bootable or Windows) and which tests did you specifically run? Did you alter any of the test parameters by chance? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Channing

I was using the Extended Memory test pre set default. I did not alter parameters. I used the Linux bootable environment from the USB key.
